Redpoint Round:

There will be (32) boulders set for the redpoint round. Competitors will have a time limit of (3) hours. Competitors are welcome to try all of the boulders and will be scored based on their top (8) highest scoring boulders. Competitors will sign up in a specific category based on skill level. Categories are: Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Open. Event organizers have the discretion to bump competitors into a higher skill category if it is determined their score represents this.

Boulders will be scored starting at 100pts and will ascend by increments of 100pts all the way to 3200pts for boulder 32.

Boulders must be completed in their entirety to be scored. This means starting the boulder on the designated start hold(s), and finishing by attaining control of the designated finish hold with both hands. After completing a boulder, competitors will need to get a witness signature. Without a witness signature, a boulder will not be scored.

Finals:

Finals will consist of (4) boulders. Each boulder will have a 4-point start, a zone hold(10-pts), and a finish hold(25-pts). Scoring will follow with USA Climbing’s most recent scoring change to align with IFSC scoring. This means that each attempt after the first will reduce the score of the highest achieved scored hold by (0.1pts.)

The finals boulders will be visible during the redpoint round. Finalists will not be allowed to watch other finalists climb and must face away from the wall in their respective staging chairs. There will be an isolation area for the finalists. This area will have the standard fitness equipment, hangboards, Tension blocks, the TB2 and partial access to the Spray wall.

Finalists will have 4-minutes per boulder, and will have the same amount of time to rest between each boulder.
